West Morris HS Graduate Tyler Zgombic, 26, Had Infectious Smile

The Long Valley community is mourning West Morris High School graduate Tyler Zgombic, who died Aug. 6 — just one week before his 27th birthday.

Zgombic was born in Reno, Nevada and moved to California before settling in Long Valley, where he had lived for the past two decades, his obituary says.

A recent graduate of Arizona State University, Zgombic was known for loving sports. He played basketball, umpired games and loved the Baltimore Ravens.

Zgombic is survived by his parents, John and Shauna Zgombic; his brothers, Justin, Trey and Matt; his grandmothers, Jo Zgombic and DeAnn Dunnigan, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Zgombic’s funeral service was held August 12 at German Valley Rural Cemetery in Long Valley.

“Tyler had an infectious smile and made people laugh his entire life,” his obituary reads.
